In preparation of its 9th issue slated for publication in June 2019, Kohl: a Journal for Body and Gender Research recently launched a call for papers on various topics related to alternative economies and gendered labour.
Kohl is particularly interested in intellectual production of Young activists, independent researchers, graduate students and fresh graduates who are willing to write papers centered in feminist, queer, and intersectionality theories that illustrate the overlaps of patriarchy and capitalism and how they support each other. Unpaid labor, care work, and performing gender-domesticated roles; feminist principles for alternative economies and structures of leftist organizing; the positionality of women and gender justice in labour movements in the MENA are some the topics proposed by the journal.
Further details on this call are available in link below.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
