On the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8, UN Women launches two initiatives, the first is a call for participation in a series of collective writing workshops in several Arab countries, in cooperation with volunteers and local partners. Entitled ’’ Her Story ’’ this initiative aims at highlighting the achievements of inspiring women and promoting the concept of cyber collaboration to advance gender equality.

The second initiative is a virtual campaign using the hashtag #BecauseIAmMan, aiming to engage men as partners and key actors in achieving empowerment and gender equality. The initiative will focus on topics such as sexual harassment, violence and paternity.
