Ever since its creation, in 2014, the Secretariat of the Euro-Mediterranean Women’s Foundation is located at the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed).
In July, 2021, the IEMed launched a new website that includes all its upcoming events, publications and multimedia contents, and serves as an archive for all the activities promoted by the IEMed in the past. Founded in 1989, the IEMed is a think-and-do tank specialized in Euro-Mediterranean relations. It provides policy-oriented and evidence-based research underpinned by a genuine Euromed multidimensional and inclusive approach. The gender perspective is fostered through its Gender Equality programme –headquarters of the Foundation.

This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
