In April 2021, Jusoor participated in a follow-up session within the framework of the project Feyza for equal opportunities.
Funded by the UN, Feyza seeks to promote the rule of law through gender equality, strengthening civil society interaction with government and community activism in 5 governorates of Tunisia: Gafsa, Kairouan, Le Kef, Tataouine, Tunis.
The project aims to contribute to raising awareness and empowering local authorities through dialogue sessions and will identify and respond to inequalities through a virtual platform for information on inequalities. Through training in fundamental rights, advocacy and project writing, 50 members from 10 CSOs will be equipped to implement projects related to the gender approach and to set up community activism actions affecting citizens.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
