This year, the Euro-Mediterranean Women’s Foundation, together with the European Institute of the Mediterranean, launched a campaign to highlight the work of women and girls leading transformative projects and actions in the Euro-Mediterranean space that contribute to more equal societies.
This campaign was launched on the occasion of the International Women’s Day, celebrated on March 8 and led to the production of a list of women, chosen by you, who epitomise the collective imprint of such an important date. These women nourished your vision on what it means to be a Euro-Mediterranean woman striving for gender equality in our current times.
With a similar approach, the BBC launches every year a list of inspiring and influential women from around the globe; you can check their selection for 2020. The Al-Fanar Foundation has selected the most influential Arab women amongst these 100 women. You will see that they belong to different domains and who allow us to appreciate the richness and diversity that traverses the Euro-Mediterranean region.
Who would you include on the list?
