The Sisterhood IS Global Institute (SIGI) in Jordan, in collaboration with Community Media Network (Radio Balad), launched the #YourVoice_Your Identity radio program which aims at empowering Jordanian women in the field of media and journalism. This project is part of the EU project to support civil society.
The program tackles a covers a range of topics related to women’s issues through news and reports prepared by a team of female correspondents in the governorates of Amman, Zarqa and Balqa, broadcast on Al Balad Radio 92.4 and published on the AmmanNet and here Al-Zarqa website and SIGI´s Facebook page.
Among the issues addressed by the radio program to date are: "Women and leadership positions in Irbid", "The impact of public transport on women’s participation in Mafraq", "The phenomenon of harassment and suffering of women in Irbid", "The reality of workers and volunteers in NGOs in Mafraq",” Women’s demand for small projects in Jerash governorate.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
