On March 30, 2019, the Association Neama for Development launched the "Cinema Against Gender Violence" project, which is being implemented in cooperation with the Forum of Graduates (Muntada Al Mujazin) of Ksar el-Kebir.
The Association Neama considers this project as an important milestone in its activities aimed at contributing to the protection of women’s rights, especially those in difficult situations. The Association also considers that art and cinema in particular are an important tool and instrument to highlight the phenomenon of violence and all its forms, and that cinema plays a key role in contributing to changing stereotypes among citizens.
The project was launched during a meeting aimed at engaging different actors to combat gender-based violence.
The project is funded by the EU under the MED-FILM project.
