PCPD launches the Feminist Political Charter

The Palestinian Centre Peace and Democracy – PCPD launched the Feminist Political Charter during a meeting in Ramallah in November 2018, attended by a number of activists.

This charter is the fruit of months of trainings and workshops and aiming at enhancing women and youth role in:

  • Reducing the influence of the patriarchal system on the process of political participation.
  • Contributing to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
  • The dissemination of feminist thought and the inclusion of gender equality issues in the Palestinian political system.
  • The fight against all forms of discrimination against women.
  • The genuine participation in the constitutional process.

This project was implemented by the PCPD and the Centre for Women’s Affairs.
