Life Foundation for Development and Community Reintegration recently opened ‘’Beit Al-Hayat’’ (Life House) Centre, the first of its kind in Egypt, which hosts women who are released and contributes to their rehabilitation at the professional, psychological and social levels.
Life Foundation has equipped the centre with all necessary living needs, along with tools and equipment to train women on handicraft skills. This centre is part of the project "Towards the rehabilitation and the community integration of prisoners, and female prisoners, especially", funded by the Drosos Foundation. The centre is also part of the collaboration protocol between Life Foundation and the Association for the Care of Prisoners and their Families.
