The Syrian Women´s Network has recently conducted several trainings and workshops on several issues related to gender equality, in collaboration with Ward Al Balad Forum, in the Turkish city of Şanlıurfa.
40 trainees participated at these workshops which took place March 13th and April 2nd 2018, and were facilitated by Dima Al Khatib who tackled women´s political empowerment, the notions of gender and quota, electoral systems, CEDAW, women and constitutions.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
