On February 22, 2018, the Association of Egyptian Female Lawyers organized the closing conference of the program ‘’for the promotion of women’s political participation – Awareness’’ at the Safir Dokki Hotel in Cairo. The conference included the presentation of the main achievements and successes of the program, as well as several discussions on the role of Egyptian women in supporting gender issues and enhancing their participation in society.

The conference was organized with the support of the United Nations Women’s Fund for Gender Equality – UN Women, with the participation of members of the House of Representatives and representatives of the Ministries of Social Solidarity, Culture and Health. Female leaders of the program of eight governorates also participated in the conference, together with a group of heads of NGOs, international and local organizations, political parties, trade and labour unions.
