The association Jusoor Al Mouatana (bridges of citizenship) works to promote the active participation of young women and men in changing mentalities to improve their reality and their living conditions. To this end, the association has recently organized an open day on certain concepts related to civil society and the importance of youth engagement in associations that provide them with opportunities for training and exchange of experiences and ideas, and enable them to spread the culture of human rights and equality. This day was organized in the municipality of Kalaa in the governorate of Kef, near the Tunisian-Algerian border.
The young women and men who participated in this open day also learned the different mechanisms for establishing an association, including teamwork, and role management.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
