In this month’s newsletter we bring you updates on the projects we support, news about our member’s initiatives, plus a selection of documents and events related to women’s rights in the Euro-Mediterranean countries. We mainly focus on women and feminist organizations’ struggle for enhancing women’s participation in politics and public life.

We highlight the attendance of the Foundation at two crucial events this month: the 4th Union for the Mediterranean Ministerial Conference on Strengthening the Role of Women in Society which will gather the Ministers of the 43 Member States of the UfM responsible for women affairs on the 27th of November in Cairo; and a correlated meeting of civil society organized by the European Commission, also in Cairo on the 22nd and 23rd of November, with the goal of collecting recommendations on gender equality for the Ministerial Conference.

Also this month, we are proud to present our new publication "We have the floor: Mediterranean civil society calls for gender equality to become a reality", a summary of the advocacy and political dialogue actions on gender equality that we support within the framework of the CSO WINS project, funded by the European Union.

In addition, don’t miss the new publications uploaded in our Documentation Center! This month, we include interesting documents about women in Libya, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine and Jordan.
