In this month’s edition we bring you a bunch of updates regarding our projects and activities, as well as the news of our Network members, and a selection of interesting documents and resources that we recently uploaded to our Documentation Center.
One of the most important news is that the president of our Foundation, Ms. Fouzia Assouli, received the Medtierranean Prize for Women 2017 in recognition of her struggle and role in advancing women’s rights in the region. The next important news is that we are currently preparing a regional dialogue to discuss the important role of associations and civil society in designing, implementing, monitoring and influencing national and euro-Mediterranean national policies in terms of gender equality. The dialogue will take place in Casablanca in Morocco with the participation of over 36 actors.
In this newsletter we also highlight the news of the advocacy campaigns and the local clusters that the Foundation coordinates in Egypt, Algeria, and Jordan. As for the documents and the resources, we propose two of our field diagnosis on women’s political participation in Tunisia and Palestine, and another study on women in politics in Morocco, in addition to a super interesting Facebook page that promotes feminism through pop art.
Other news are also waiting for you in the link below.
