The Zakoura Foundation, which is engaged in deploying programs in response to the growing needs in the communities, coordinated 159 programs and activities which have benefited 7668 children, youth and women in 2016. The foundation has also expanded its presence in 8 regions of the country. Similarly, the Zakoura Academy has made possible the creation of 210 resources.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
