Roles for Social Change Association (ADWAR) gives its best wishes to Palestinian women on the occasion of International Women's Day. It emphasises on the importance of the struggle of these women against both occupation and for their political, social and economic rights. Over the past years, Palestinian women have been reluctant to play their role in a masculine patriarchal society that restricts them and their freedom. The Palestinian women have persistently struggled to change this reality and have succeeded. The coming generations of women will continue the path of human rights struggle. ADWAR has worked in partnership with past and present institutions and will work in the future to improve the lives of Palestinian women, and to enhance their participation in the public policies in the country and to involve them in decision-making, which is the core of the work of ADWAR. The Association believes that societies cannot develop without respecting the rights of women and their equality with men in all political, social and economic sectors.
