Wednesday, 1/3/2017at Dkaika, AlNajada, Yatta , South of Hebron ADWAR implement the fourth dialogue session with an official held at Dkaika Bedouin community with the presence of Zakaht-Charity Committee of Yatta and the Yatta directorate of social development. The dialogue comes within activities of the project (Empowering Bedouin women in decision-making and accountability within local council’s), funded by the Netherland representative, in partnership with local Bedouin counsels, the ministry of local government, and Ma’an Network. The dialogue aimed at accountability of officials about fulfilling needs of Bedouin women and raising their voices in front of decision makers, as well as enhancing communication and networking among women and decision makers. Furthermore, to change the stereotyped negative image about Bedouin women roles.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
