15 November 2013, Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences, Casablanca Aïn Chock
This seminar sought to reflect on the concepts, methodological tools and uses of gender, both in research and education and in Moroccan civil society. This seminar targeted students, notably from the Master’s degree/Doctorate in Gender, Society and Culture at the Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences in Casablanca.
The work sessions with the association world endeavoured to provide researchers, professors, educators, students and policy-makers with better knowledge of the field and to shed light on relations between women and men from a democratic perspective.
Results: The researchers and students from the two sides of the Mediterranean joined forces (notably the southern border) and disseminated their research work. Moreover, dialogue between researchers and civil society actors was strengthened.
This seminary is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacity of equality actors”, of the project “Women for the future in the Mediterranean” funded by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development, and the project “Developing Women’s Empowerment”, labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
