The activities of the Gender Campaign "Women Participating" concluded by holding a policy discussion meeting that brought together the Director of Sports Clubs at the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and members of the Board of Directors of a number of sports clubs in Gaza. The participants discussed practical measures to enhance women’s representation in public clubs, including opening the door for women to join the General Assembly For the club without a subscription fee, the development of the women’s department in the clubs, and the provision of psychological support services to women at one of the active sports clubs.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
