Respect It training camp gathers 25 students and graduates of the faculties of media and law in Gaza universities

The Community Media Center CMC concluded the training camp for youth of both sexes “Respect Her”, with the participation of 25 students and graduates of the faculties of media and law in Palestinian universities in the Gaza Strip, as part of the activities of the project “Promoting a culture of respect for women’s rights in academic institutions – Respect Her”, which is implemented by the Community Media Center for the second year in a row in partnership with the German Heinrich Böll Foundation.

The “Respect Her” project aims to promote a culture of respect for women’s rights and equality in academic institutions in the Gaza Strip by raising the awareness of university students and academics on women’s rights, empowering female academics and institutionalizing the Palestinian Women Academies Authority, formed more than two years ago with the aim of creating an independent female body capable of defending the rights of female academics and representing them in various fields.

The training, which was implemented over 5 continuous days, with 25 training hours, focused on developing the participants’ knowledge and capabilities about human rights, the International Bill, and Palestinian women’s rights in international conventions and local legislation, in addition to gender concepts, its foundations and foundations, and the roles and needs associated with it. The participants also learned about the basics and skills of training the trainers, its objectives and principles, the theoretical foundations of the adult learning process, the training life cycle, the tools and methods used in the training process, the planning, organization and management of training.
