On 23 March 2022, CLUSTER participated in the MedCat Days 2022, a hybrid event co-organised by the Ministry for Foreign Action and Open Government and the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Government of Catalonia, together with the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed), with the collaboration of the MedCoopAlliance.
This initiative was held at the Pedralbes Royal Palace in Barcelona within the framework of the relaunch of the Mediterranean Strategy of Catalonia “
During the parallel workshop on “A more social and inclusive Mediterranean”, the Project Manager at the IEMed explained how CLUSTER builds on the results achieved of other funded projects (Maharat Med, RESMYLE, HELIOS, EGREJOB, BlueSKills) and adopts an innovative, integrated and multi-actor approach.
"With CLUSTER, we are targeting young unemployed people and women, but also teachers and trainers, the private sector and public authorities, to lead to the strengthening of partnerships between these actors, and ultimately support policy-makers in the design of inclusive employment policies at the Mediterranean level." Karina Melkonian, Project Manager
The MedCat Days offered a framework for dialogues, connecting Catalan actors working in the Mediterranean, with the aim to encourage new initiatives and projects, while boosting the Green and Digital Transitions, as well as promoting agreements and exchanges between Catalan and South Mediterranean actors.
