The writer Nawal Mustafa, president and founder of the Association for the children of detained women, launched the third edition of the competition "Nawal Mustafa for women entrepreneurs 2022", under the aegis of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, which carries the slogan of craftsmanship and heritage.
Regarding the target groups of the competition, the writer Nawal Mustafa indicated that it targets all women and young girls over the age of 18, possessing real talents in the field of crafts.The prizes are divided into two categories: the first for 3 winners to receive full project support, and the second for 7 winners to obtain scholarships and training in entrepreneurship and small projects. The deadline for receipt of applications to participate was February 22.
The competition aims to support and sponsor traditional craftsmanship, which is an important part of Egyptian cultural identity and heritage, and to encourage women who have talents in the field of craftsmanship.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
