The Moroccan Association for the Promotion of Female Entrepreneurship (ESPOD), in partnership with the Regional Center for Investment Fez-Meknes, the Crédit du Maroc bank and the KHATWA® program, launched end-to-end support in November 2021, in favor of women project managers, entrepreneurs, cooperatives and owners of Startups in the Fez-Meknes Region in Morocco.
This unprecedented initiative in the Kingdom aims to support these women through training, advice and self-confidence to access financing under the new INTELAKA national financing program launched by His Majesty King Mohamed VI in January 2020.
250 applications were received to benefit from this program, a 7-step planning has been decided, and a first session was organized on November 17, 2021 at the headquarters of the Regional Center for Investment Fez-Meknes which saw the participation of 20 candidates.
After a day full of exchanges, training and workshops on the Business Model Canvas, the Business Plan, the keys to success, the requirements and procedures for obtaining the INTELAKA Credit, a 100% digital platform to continue the exchanges and remote support for project managers was launched by the partner F1Change Consulting, a specialized expert who monitors and supports these women until their funding files are put together.
A second promotion of this program is scheduled for January 29, 2022 in the city of Meknesm which will see the participation of candidates from the provinces of Ifrane, El Hajeb and Meknes.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
