In 2017, the Women’s Center for Legal Aid and Counseling (WCLAC) released an evaluation report highlighting the role of women in Palestinian politics, with the aim to examine the factors that hinder their access to decision-making bodies.
This article is based upon the field diagnosis carried out by WCLAC, which puts forward solutions to facilitate women’s access to the political scene by removing social, cultural and legal constraints. The field diagnosis was coordinated by the Euro-Mediterranean Women’s Foundation and the European Institute for the Mediterranean (IEMed), and is part of Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women of the future in the Mediterranean", funded by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development.
