Through the field diagnosis "Women’s access to positions of responsibility in the Souss-Massa region", the Tamaynut association has studied the legal, socio-economic, cultural and individual factors that hinder the access of women and girls to positions of responsibility in Morocco, in the Souss-Massa region.
On the basis of consultations with women representatives of civil society organisations, trade unions and political parties, the analysis proposed in partnership with the Centre d’Etudes et de Recherches en Sciences Sociales (CERSS) also involved local and regional media, and the Federation of Labour and the government of Souss-Massa.
This article is taken from the local diagnosis carried out by Tamayut and CERSS to highlight the following aspects the most relevant current events and propose avenues of analysis on issues that affect or prevent egalitarian political participation in the Moroccan context.
