Towards an equal stake in the history of women and gender in Islamic societies

Published in the issue 25 of the revue Genre et Histoire (La revue de l’Association Mnémosyne) with the title "History of Women and Gender in Muslim Societies: Historical Revivals", this article is divided into two sections: "Invisibility of women, colonial heritage and feminist commitment" in Muslim societies, and "For a social history with a gender lens: several "shifts" in the gaze".

This dossier was produced within the framework of the Mobility & Humanities project of the Department of Historical and Geographical Sciences and the Ancient World of the University of Padua (DiSSGeA). The Mobility & Humanities project is funded as a project of excellence (2018-2022) by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR).
