This toolkit, designed by the Centre for Transnational Development and Collaboration in cooperation with Dawlaty, revolves around political participation from an intersectional feminist perspective. Written in Arabic, the aim of this toolkit is to redefine the concept of political participation from the feminist standpoint that “the personal is the political”. Civil society organizations in the Arab-speaking countries and in the Global South have done much significant work regarding the participation of women in politics. However, they have not been able to activate a real role for women in what organizations have traditionally defined as “political action”. Using human rights initiatives that define political action as work related to state and international institution as a cue, this guide seeks to be a tool to build real feminist political movements at the grassroots levels. It contains material to achieve comprehensive intersectional feminist justice in the countries of the Global South in general, and in the Arabic-speaking countries in particular. The toolkit represents an alternative proposal to the concept of politics, from an intersectional feminist point of view.
