Following the first and second national surveys (2007, 2013) which focussed only on domestic violence, the present Survey collects for the first time, data on the nature and prevalence of other forms of violence: dating violence, non-partner violence, sexual harassment and stalking. It also brings forth findings on social norms related to violence against women. The Survey was conducted across 12 prefectures in Albania with a sample of 3,443 households where women aged 18-74 were interviewed.
The survey present very disturbing findings. For instance, 65.8% of surveyed women experienced dating violence; 1 in 3 women experienced intimate partner domestic violence and 3 in 4 women said that violence against women is a major problem in Albania.
