Social Transformation in a Digital Age: Women's Participation in a Civil and Political Domains in the MENA Region

This article explains how women’s use of new media technologies, cyberactivism, citizen journalism, and their self-organization contribute to and reflect the social and political changes that have occurred in the region in recent years. It is also highlight the need for advocacy and lobbying to increase women’s access and participation in the public and political life.
