This article focuses on women’s entrepreneurship in Algeria and in particular the factors that limit or encourage Algerian women to be involved in this sector. It is based mainly on two field diagnoses, one in the province/wilaya of Algiers-center and Bouzaréah, and the second in the wilaya (region) of Sétif. These studies were produced by the Association of Women in Green Economy (AFEV) and Women in Business of Algeria (WIBA) in collaboration with the Euro – Mediterranean Women’s Foundation (FFEM) and the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed).
