In 2015, the Euro-Mediterranean Women’s Foundation (FFEM) launched a qualitative report that served as ‘’mechanism for monitoring’’ the implementation of Paris Declaration Commitments which was adopted by the Union for the Mediterranean’s member states, following the meetings of their women’s affairs ministers in 2013. This 2nd report aims to identify the achieved progress, obstacles and agreements reached in Cairo, in November 2017, during the 4th Euro-Mediterranean Ministerial Conference on the place of women in society, in the fields of: equal rights for women and men to participate in social, civil, economic and political life; combating all forms of violence and discrimination against women and girls; and the necessity for a change in mind-sets and behaviours.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
