The costs of professional inequalities between women and men in relation to their degrees: A challenge of 300 billion euros per year?

This report was made by a group of researchers within the Association ‘Research Council Engineering Training for Gender Equality’ (Corif, Lille) on behalf of the Regional Directorate for Enterprise, Competition, Research and Development. Consumption, Labour and Employment (Direccte) of the Hauts de France.

It is divided into three main parts. In the first one, the authors take stock of the main studies carried out in France and in the world on the subject of the costs of gender professional inequalities. Then they dig into the subject of professional inequalities linking it to education levels according to gender. The third part focuses on the big gap of macroeconomic monetary valuations in terms of lost earnings for women as a whole and the losses of the community.
