This guide targets trade union leaders and members of both sexes. It seeks to enhance their ability to formulate a common vision and tools to integrate gender issues into associative work and to promote the presence of women in the different and all trade unions and syndicates structures, as well as to support their access to decision making positions. The guide combines both cognitive/theoretical and practical knowledge, and it has been designed to facilitate the training of members of unions and syndicates to increase their awareness on the importance of the role that their unions can play in promoting gender equality, as well as to contribute to the development of their skills and abilities in using and applying existing mechanisms for integrating women’s issues Within the organizational structures and the activities of trade union committees.
