Women Entrepreneurship in Europe - Comparative Elements

12.06.2018 / Created by (EMWF)

The objective of this comparative study is to illustrate the various dimensions of women’s entrepreneurship throughout Europe with a focus on the French context which is a very good model itself. Women’s entrepreneurship is an untapped source of growth potential. Adopting an approach with a gender focus, we analyze what motivates women who create or take over a company, their potential, the business models they are more likely to develop (size, service, growth) and also the obstacles to this process. Are these obstacles gender-related? What type of measures do we need to keep on developing to support women’s entrepreneurship?
