This document aims at identifying the status of women in the highest legal reference of each of the member states of the Arab Women Organization, and shedding light on articles that refer specifically to women directly or indirectly. In the introduction to this guide, the authors argue that the issue of women and their rights in constitutions is a vital and fundamental issue given the discrimination against women and the Arab societal culture which looks down at women and underestimate their roles and places in the society.
