The purpose of this guide is to raise awareness of and disseminate knowledge about the concept of trafficking in human beings; to strengthen the culture against trafficking in persons; and to develop a sense of responsibility for every individual in society to contribute to tackling the phenomenon of trafficking in persons.
The guide is the first step of the execution of the general strategy to combat trafficking in persons, which was developed by the Human Rights Institute of the Beirut Bar Association and the Department of Diakonia and Social Justice at the Council of Churches of the Middle East at the end of a conference held on 14-15 June 2014 in Lebanon under the title: “From legislative text to application".
