Survey on the working conditions of rural women in Tunisia

This survey aims to study the working conditions of women in the agricultural sector and to highlight the discrimination they face in the labour market in rural areas.

It therefore focuses on:

  • Working conditions for women in rural areas, including conditions of transport, working hours, security and pay;
  • The size of work and the allocation of time between work and home activities;
  • The nature of women’s tasks;
  • The contractual framework of women’s work in rural areas;
  • The physical, psychological and moral repercussions of working conditions on women and their families;
  • The place of women in their families and the contribution of work to their economic autonomy;
  • And the expectations and level of satisfaction of women with respect to working conditions.
