This important report of the Centre of Arab Women for Training and Research (CAWTAR)- A founding member of the Euro-Mediterranean Women’s Foundation - maps legislations and ratified and/or unratified treaties and agreements related to women’s rights in 20 Arab countries, and analyses them from gender and human rights perspectives. The report aims to identify the aspects of concentrated equality, and the different inequalities and forms of discrimination that still persist in areas related to civil and political rights, education and training, the status of women, the rights of women in the family, the right to health and reproductive health, gender-based violence, as well as the right to work and access to justice.
