This study presents a diagnosis of the issues of gender equality in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sector in Morocco.
The objective is to enable the energy cluster of GIZ Morocco and its partners to define an analytical and reference framework in order to better integrate the gender equality approach in its current and future projects, taking into account the opportunities and identified challenges. The study was based on primary and secondary sources, on the results of a participatory workshop in which GIZ and the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Directorate (DEREE) jointly participated, as well as a SWOT exercise realized with the energy cluster of GIZ during a training on gender and energy.
