This article looks at how the Mediterranean migration scale helps to better understand the links between social relations of sex and mobility. The study of the multiplicity of female migratory situations makes it possible to arrive at two major constants: the first is that mobility intertwines in time and space, producing a diversification of female migratory situations; the second is that we must question the classic migratory paradigms that still today refer to the figure of the migrant man.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
