The HCE has done some analysis and recommendations on the inequalities between women and men in the field of arts and culture, choosing to tackle the issues in a very broad way, since this report covers the major areas of the sector: live performance (especially music, including current and mainstreamed music, dance and theatre), visual arts (plastic arts, including painting, photography, audio-visual arts and video games), architecture, literature and publishing, including comics. This report focuses on the public policies pursued by the various cultural partners and does not deal with the internal professional equality issues of the central and decentralized services of the Ministry of Culture in France.
