Annual report de women's situation in politics in the Arab region

This report provides an analysis of the most important trends of feminism in the political field in the Arab world during 2016 in terms of:

  • The role of feminist movements within the Arab region in negotiating for their political and constitutional rights.
  • Monitoring the situation of women in some Arab constitutions and the most important benefits that women have received.
  • Analysing of the most important laws governing the framework of the electoral process in the countries of the region and the status of women in these laws in terms of the principle of equality and non-discrimination, and the positive measures in favour of women.
  • Monitoring and analysing the participation of women in the parliamentary elections in a number of Arab countries where elections were held (Kingdom of Morocco, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan - State of Kuwait).
