This extensive article discusses the situation of female farmers in Tunisia where women represent 92% of the agricultural labour force, according to the Tunisian Ministry of Agriculture. The article particularly focuses on the exploitation of female farmers, low wages and working conditions that sometimes pose a threat to women, as well as the low representation of women in decision-making positions in the agricultural sector.
