The Economic Cost of Discrimination

09.01.2018 / Created by (EMWF)

On October 29, 2014, the French Minister of Labour, Employment, Vocational Training and Social Dialogue and the French Minister of the City, Youth and Sports established the "Group for dialogue against discrimination in enterprise’’ ’in order to: identify ways of progress to make the reduction of collective discrimination in the enterprise more effective, while enhancing the legal certainty of the companies involved in it; to examine the necessary measures to promote non-discriminatory recruitment methods (recruitment by simulation, anonymous CVs in certain situations, other methods under development). In order to cover the areas set out in the roadmap, the dialogue group identified three main themes: non-discriminatory recruitment methods; the fight against discrimination in career and employment; the development of new collective remedies. And in 2016, the group ended this task by publishing this report.
