The purpose of this paper is to identify the role of the Palestinian National Authority in activating the political participation of Palestinian women; to monitor and analyse thelegal legislations related to the political participation of Palestinian women and to know the impact of such legislations on the size and type of the political participation of women. The study attempts, as well, to understand how the political participation of Palestinian women affects the process of social transformation towards women’s rights in Palestine. This research also focuses on the role of the Palestinian feminist movement in strengthening women’s political participation.
