Gender gaps are spreading throughout the world without exception, especially in terms of political participation in the Arab countries. This has been evident in Algeria in the post-independence years, starting from the period of unilateralism till it reached the stage of pluralism. However, these gaps have become less acute in recent years after the elections of 2012. This book deals with women´s political participation at several levels as it explores the views and orientations of the Algerian electorate.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
