In this article on the adoption by the Tunisian Parliament, on 26 July 2017, of a historic law against violence against women, Frida Dahmani of Jeune Afrique, reviews the new law’s measures to protect and care for the victims of Violence in which the State is now committed to protecting the victims and can prosecute a perpetrator even after the victim has withdrawn the complaint.
