In 2016, SoS homophobia published its 20th annual report on homophobia. The report finds that verbal violence and assault occur mostly in contexts related to daily life, in the family, in public places, in the neighborhood, at work and in the school environment, where the victims are more and more young. According to the report, the situation is worrying: in 20 years, ordinary homophobia, essentially ignorance and rejection, has turned into a denial of equal rights and verbal or physical violence against Lesbian, gay, bi-es and Trans individuals.
