The State of Equality and Gender in Morocco: Preserving and Enacting the Purposes and Objectives of the Constitution

The report analyses on the basis of several national and international studies, and proposes several recommendations. It describes the various forms of discrimination against women, particularly in the legal, social, political, economic and cultural fields, by shedding light on public policies, and the negative impact on most vulnerable women. The report consists of three main parts: 1- Moroccan Conventional Practice and Legal Dichotomy; 2- Equality and parity in economic, social and cultural rights and 3- Public policies and their impact on the most vulnerable women. The report assesses the situation of women and the gender relations at each axis, and presents several recommendations aimed at protecting the principles of equality and parity.
