Every summer, thousands of girls and teenage migrants return to their parents' home countries for the holidays where they may undergo female genital mutilation. This may be an expression of the wishes of the parents, who have made it the objective of the journey or may be perpetrated despite their opposition, due to the pressure of the local context, or else in their absence. Particular vigilance must therefore be exercised before leaving on holiday. How? What to do if in doubt? This leaflet answers these questions.
